Course Description:
This seven-day basic polysomnographic technology course is being offered to clinicians and other health-care professionals who are interested in the management of sleep-related disorders. The session will provide the necessary skills to perform and evaluate a variety of polysomnographic studies. This innovative program incorporates daylight lectures and nighttime practicum with direct patient contact. After completion of the program, each student will be able to set up and perform diagnostic polysomnograms, which will include titration positive airway pressure (C-PAP) treatments and other nighttime procedures.
Course Prerequisites:
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Have a certificate or degree in a health-care profession (Respiratory
Care Nursing, Physician Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, Medical Assistant)
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification. If needed, arrangements
can be made to give a BCLS Course during your training at our facility.
However, this will be done after normal course hours on site.
